During a recent interview, Pastor Bugembe clarified their relationship, stating, “She is a sister from another mother.” He emphasized that Dr. Mukiibi’s family has been like his own, especially during his visits to the UK, making any romantic involvement implausible.
Speculation arose after photos surfaced online showing Pastor Bugembe and Dr. Mukiibi together during a church service at The Worship House. This led to social media discussions, with some suggesting they would make a suitable couple. Notably, socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa, also known as Bad Black, publicly encouraged Pastor Bugembe to consider marrying Dr. Mukiibi.
Dr. Jan Mukiibi is recognized among Ugandans in the diaspora, having held the title of Miss Uganda UK in 2017-2018. She pursued a career in medicine and is currently working with the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Recently, she returned to Uganda as an NHS Global Health Fellow, collaborating with the Ministry of Health to enhance mental health services across the country.
Pastor Bugembe, aged 41, has consistently assured his followers of his intention to marry when the time is right. In previous statements, he mentioned that he is seeing someone and plans to marry soon, though he has not disclosed any specific details.
Despite public interest and speculation, both Pastor Bugembe and Dr. Mukiibi have not confirmed any romantic involvement, maintaining that their relationship is familial and professional.
