Spain Head Coach Luis de la Fuente Prioritizes Results Ahead of Next Match

Spain’s head coach Luis de la Fuente, facing the absence of suspended players Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand, as well as the injured Pedri, has led one of the most impressive teams in the tournament so far. Despite their strong performance, they were pushed to the limit by hosts Germany in the quarter-finals.

While acknowledging the importance of playing stylish football, de la Fuente emphasized that the ultimate priority is securing a win. Speaking at a press conference, he explained, “The primary goal is to prepare a game-plan that will help us win. Naturally, we aim to provide a good show with our model and ideas, and I believe our team is enjoyable to watch when we execute it well. However, at this stage, winning is paramount. We strive to play attractive football, but it must also be practical because, in the end, the result is what will be analyzed and assessed.”

De la Fuente also expressed support for team captain Alvaro Morata, who had accused some at home of disrespecting him. “We stand by Morata and appreciate his leadership on and off the field,” de la Fuente added.

As Spain prepares for their next match, de la Fuente’s focus remains on balancing style and practicality to achieve the desired results.
