Nubian Li, a longtime close ally of musician-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, made the announcement over the weekend while addressing mourners at a burial ceremony. In his speech, he called upon the public to rally behind his political aspirations, emphasizing his commitment to serving the people of Nakawa.
His decision to enter the political arena is seen as a continuation of the trend where entertainers and public figures transition into leadership roles, inspired by Bobi Wine’s rise in Ugandan politics.
