Mao Asks Museveni To Apprehend “Anti-Investor” Ministers

Norbert Mao the Democratic Party president general and minister for Justice and constitutional affairs has asked President Museveni to tackle obstacles that delay  investment in the country

During the presidential investors’ conference at Kololo Independence ceremonial grounds, Norbert urged the investors not to remain silent on the obstacles especially if masterminded by top government officials.

The event which was organized by the Uganda Investment Authority, the state house, and the Ministry of Finance, planning,g, and Economic Development attracted over 2000 investors across the country.

Speaking at the conference Norbert Moa challenged the investors to use their powers. He says investors have the power to recommend what is best to facilitate a conducive investment environment, especially on such forums.

Mao also used the same platform to sting those who taint the government’s name thus asking ministers to use their positions to defend the good things the government has done.

Mao also thanked the president for supporting and giving investors an audience. BYTE

It should be noted that President Museveni has from time to time echoed the need for investors in Uganda to concentrate on channeling their resources to agriculture and manufacturing citing that the government already has a line of support in terms of funds for them.
