The presidential directive guided that, senior doctors, be given 2.5 million which is half of the sh5 million a medical officer earns, Graduate nurses, midwives, and pharmacists would earn half of the recommended pay of the respective officers.

According to Oscar, currently, they earn Ugx1m monthly which he says is like a drop in an ocean, but if the presidential directive is reinstated, they will be earning Ugx2.5m.
