Police at Katwe are investigating a fire that engulfed a trailer truck on the Clock Tower Flyover in Kampala on Thursday morning.
The truck, registered UBG 431P / UBG 168P and owned by Iron Air Force Company, was being driven by Okada Paul Gabriel while transporting empty boxes from Mukono to Entebbe. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 AM, police said.

The driver reported that the vehicle had been overheating before flames erupted. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Fire Prevention and Rescue Services from the Fire Brigade Headquarters promptly responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, confirmed that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Authorities continue to examine the vehicle to determine what sparked the fire.
The incident caused minor traffic disruptions along the flyover, but emergency crews ensured the area was cleared quickly.
