Police are investigating a shocking shooting incident that left three people dead on Wednesday morning at the offices of Ultimate Security Company in Mbuya, Nakawa Division.
The victims include two employees of the security firm and the suspected shooter, who was also an employee. The Kampala Metropolitan Police identified the deceased as Noella Zella, an Assistant Human Resource Officer; Bwampata Salez, the company’s Armory Officer; and Richard Mwaawa, a security guard who is believed to have been the shooter.

According to preliminary police reports, the incident occurred at around 9:00 AM when Mwaawa entered the company premises and fatally shot Zella and Bwampata before being neutralised by responding police officers.
“The suspect was engaged by our officers and was fatally wounded during the process of subduing the threat,” said ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police. “We have since recovered the firearm used and it has been submitted for forensic examination.”
All three bodies were transported to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examinations.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear. Police say investigations are ongoing to determine what led Mwaawa to carry out the attack.

“This is a tragic incident and our teams are working around the clock to establish the facts. We urge the public to remain calm and allow investigations to proceed without speculation,” ASP Owoyesigyire added.
Ultimate Security Company has not yet issued an official statement.
Police have promised to share more details as investigations unfold.
