By Police at Kabalagala are holding Sandra Teta in connection with a suspected case of unlawful wounding involving her alleged husband, popular musician Douglas Mayanja, also known as Weasel.
According to a police statement issued by Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at Shan’s Bar in Munyonyo.
Preliminary reports indicate that Teta, in the heat of an alleged altercation, intentionally rammed into Weasel using a vehicle registered UBH 148Y. The car has since been impounded and is currently parked at Kabalagala Police Station as part of the ongoing investigations.

Weasel was first rushed to Mukwaya General Hospital for emergency treatment before being referred to Nsambya Hospital, where he is currently admitted. His condition remains unclear as medical teams continue to monitor his recovery.
ASP Owoyesigyire confirmed that investigations are underway to establish the full circumstances leading to the incident.
“The matter is being handled with the seriousness it deserves, and further details will be communicated in due course,” Owoyesigyire stated.
Police have urged the public to remain calm as they pursue all leads in the case, which has sparked widespread attention due to the celebrity status of those involved.
