Police in Kanungu District have arrested a private security guard accused of murdering Anthony Mutinisa, a 53-year-old businessman and proprietor of Mutinisa Motors Uganda.
The suspect, identified as Byaruhanga Hillary, 28, is attached to Don World Security Limited. He allegedly shot Mutinisa dead on Sunday evening before fleeing with the deceased’s car, registration number UA 769 BQ.

According to police, the stolen vehicle was later recovered in Katwe Cell, Kihihi Town Council. Byaruhanga was tracked down and arrested alongside Akampa Mark, who was found in his company at the time of arrest.
Police spokesperson ACP Kituuma Rusoke confirmed the arrest, noting that investigations are ongoing to establish the motive behind the killing.
Mutinisa’s death has shocked the Kanungu business community, where he was widely known for his work in the automobile sector.
