President Museveni Hails ‘Hidden Uganda’ Documentary

President Museveni recently attended the screening of “Hidden Uganda,” a documentary showcasing the country’s beauty and hidden gems. Speaking at the event, President Museveni highlighted Uganda’s natural beauty, saying, “Here, there’s no air-conditioning, we don’t have to warm the air to cool it, we just enjoy it the way it is.”

He also emphasized Uganda’s unique cultural heritage, noting that the country was one of the last to be reached by foreigners. “If someone is looking for original Africans, they are found in Uganda,” he said.

The president thanked the documentary’s creator, Mr. Peter Greenberg, for promoting Uganda’s uniqueness to the world. He also assured that the government is working to improve infrastructure to promote tourism, including building international airports in Kidepo and Kanungu.

Vice President Jessica Alupo commended the documentary for promoting Uganda’s story, while the CEO of Age Safaris, Diana Museveni Kyaremera, requested that President Museveni take Mr. Greenberg on a tour to showcase Uganda’s history and people.

“The president knows every inch of Uganda. There is no better storyteller or no one who knows the history of Uganda and its people than our president,” she said.

Mr. Greenberg thanked President Museveni for his support, saying, “My job is to show them experiences that they can have, the people they can meet, what they can accomplish, what they can learn, and this is going to be seen by an audience of over 130 million.”
