The Uganda Police Force has firmly refuted claims that presidential advisor and media personality Jennifer Nakangubi known as Full Figure received preferential treatment in criminal cases filed against her, even as she remains hospitalized following a brutal public assault.
Speaking on Monday, police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke encouraged anyone with legitimate grievances against Full Figure to submit evidence and press charges through proper legal channels.

“If you feel that she wronged you, act like her: go to the police station and report. If an officer refuses to take your case, escalate it up to the IGP,” Rusoke said.
The controversy erupted after Full Figure reported that she was assaulted along Kyadondo Road while en route to a press conference. According to police reports, she was attacked by Justine Nameere, an NRM flagbearer for Masaka City Woman MP, and her husband. The assailants allegedly stole her mobile phone and Shs500,000.
A video that quickly went viral shows Full Figure being punched and kicked by a man wearing NRM attire as bystanders cheered and recorded the assault.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police has registered the case and launched a manhunt for the suspects. Investigators have visited the crime scene and taken statements from witnesses.
The attack triggered widespread condemnation from Full Figure’s colleagues, including her co-host Charles James Ssenkubuge, who decried the violence and public celebration of it.
“For all her mistakes, she did not deserve that treatment. Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
In stark contrast, events promoter Abby Musinguzi was quoted as justifying the assault. He framed it as the culmination of impunity:
“If the police and the law could not rein in Full Figure, let the people carry the law into their own hands.”
Responding to accusations that the police had historically shielded Full Figure from prosecution, Rusoke dismissed the notion.
“Full Figure is not above the law,” he insisted, affirming that any credible case against her will be pursued as with any other suspect.
He further committed to transparency and accountability, stating that anyone who reports wrongdoing should be heard and their evidence investigated thoroughly. He also confirmed that the investigation into the assault and robbery is ongoing.
