Police in Katwe Division have launched a manhunt for singer Mulwana Patrick, popularly known as Alien Skin, and several of his associates over the alleged murder of Namuwaya Wilfred, alias Top Dancer, a former member of the Fangone Forest group.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, investigations indicate that Namuwaya was picked up from his Ndeeba residence on September 20, 2025, by a man identified as Musomali, said to be linked to Fangone Forest. He was reportedly taken to the group’s base, where Alien Skin allegedly ordered his team to “discipline” him for leaving without permission.
Police say Namuwaya was severely beaten and later abandoned in Mpomba Zone, where good Samaritans rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on September 22, 2025.
“Katwe Police Station is investigating a case of murder that occurred in Kizungu Zone, Luwafu Parish, Makindye Division. We are hunting for suspects including Mulwana Patrick alias Alien Skin, Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo,” Onyango said in a statement issued Tuesday.
The Fangone Forest group, which has been linked to several violent incidents in recent weeks, is accused of attacking both former members and outsiders. Police note that many victims have been reluctant to report cases due to fear of retaliation.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with investigations and report any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
Alien Skin, one of Uganda’s most controversial music figures, rose to fame for his street-influenced style and outspoken personality. His alleged involvement in the case is likely to send shockwaves through the country’s entertainment industry.
