According to police, a sniffer dog named Darkis was deployed to trace the scent from the scene. The dog led investigators approximately 600 meters to the home of Mr. Bwambale Lasson, where the stolen coffee and a tapline were recovered.
The recovered items were positively identified by the complainant as his property. Bwambale was subsequently arrested, and the exhibits were secured as investigations continue.
Police commended the swift coordination between the K9 Unit and local investigators, noting that canine support remains a vital tool in solving agricultural theft cases in the region.
