Police at Kawempe Division are investigating a case of aggravated robbery that occurred in Kisenyi Zone on June 13, 2025, at around 1:00 a.m.
Nampera Christine, the victim, told police that unknown assailants broke into her home while she was asleep. The attackers stole a 32-inch flat screen TV, a Samsung A4 mobile phone, and UGX 500,000. They were reportedly armed with a knife.

Officers from Kakungulu Police Station responded with a sniffer dog, Boela, which tracked the scent to a nearby room. Inside, officers found Ssekandi Jonathan asleep. Another suspect, identified as Ssulasako Mayor, who was outside the premises, fled the scene.
A search of the room led to the recovery of a knife with a black cover, a pair of scissors, a hammer, and several bundles of narcotic drugs wrapped in blue polythene bags.
Ssekandi was arrested and remains in custody. Police are actively pursuing his accomplice.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy PRO for Kampala Metropolitan Police, commended the quick response of the canine and CID teams and assured the public of continued efforts to ensure community safety.
