Speaking at the funeral at Seeta village, Kinuuka sub-county, Lyantonde district, Brig Chris Kasaija, commander of the Entebbe Air Force Wing, praised the deceased as an exceptional pilot.
Lt. Allan Tukamuhabwa, one of the two pilots who perished in the UPDF helicopter crash in Ntoroko last week, has been recognized by the nation for his service to the fight against the ADF in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“He did a good job in the fight against insecurity from the Allied Defense Forces (ADF) in western Uganda and as far as DRC and will always be remembered because he died in the line of duty. He will be missed and the UPDF – Air Force will stand with the family of the late Lt Allan in these trying moments,” Brig Gen Kasaija said.
Brig Gen Kasaija concluded by stating that the deceased was a remarkable pilot who took his regular responsibilities seriously, expected success from every workday and was passionate and committed to his work.
