House of Prayer Ministries’ lead pastor, Aloysius Bugingo, has announced plans to build multiple churches, dubbed “Pentagons,” across Uganda. This vision is driven by the overwhelming turnout at his congregations in various parts of the country.
Pastor Bugingo who was appearing on the spotlight YouTube channel outlined an ambitious plan following the delayed construction of his multi-billion mega-church project in Makerere, Kikoni, due to funding issues. Despite raising only Shs3 billion, he remains committed to completing the 35,000-seat church complex.
The pastor has appealed to his followers to continue contributing to the project, emphasizing the need for more resources to kickstart construction. Once the Kampala project is completed, Bugingo intends to replicate the model in other regions, citing the overwhelming demand for his ministry’s services.
“We need more Pentagons across the country,” Bugingo said, highlighting the need for larger worship spaces in areas like Mbale, Busoga, and Fort Portal, where his congregations have exceeded venue capacity.
Pastor Bujingo did not also hold back on his critics who were calling him out to at least lay pavers on his muddy prayer ground in Makerere. He questions the essence of laying the pavers and yet construction works are close to commence
“Why would we pave the grounds and yet we are about to start constructing the “Pentagon That is a total waste of money”
