NRG Radio has officially terminated the employment of evening show presenter Etania, emphasizing the company’s core values of dignity and mutual respect. The decision was communicated in a letter dated July 1, following the conclusion of Etania’s performance improvement plan.
The letter stated, “After our conversation, we believe that the best way forward for all parties involved is to terminate your services with NRG. This is the final decision as part of the company’s disciplinary process.” Etania will receive her salary until July 3 and has been instructed to return all company property, including IDs and her laptop, to the Human Resources office on that date.
Additionally, the letter outlined restrictions on Etania’s future employment, prohibiting her from taking a job with any company that competes with NRG Radio. Human Resources will provide her with a detailed letter outlining her full compensation. She is also reminded of her non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, which prevent her from working with competitors for one year and from revealing any business information during this period.
NRG Radio, located on Clement Hill in Kampala, is one of the newest radio stations in the city, with its parent company based in Kenya. The company did not disclose specific reasons for Etania’s termination.
