Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has pledged to deliver tax relief and improved public services as he continued his campaign in Bukomansimbi and Sembabule districts.
Addressing voters at Misanvu Trading Centre in Kibinge Sub-county, Bukomansimbi District, Mafabi criticised the current government for what he described as years of neglect, pointing to poor road infrastructure, high taxation and limited access to quality social services.

He argued that despite the region’s long-standing support for the ruling party, residents continue to grapple with deteriorating roads and rising costs of living, which he said reflect weak governance and misplaced priorities.
Mafabi promised that an FDC-led government would fight corruption and plug revenue leakages, noting that trillions of shillings lost annually could be redirected towards lowering taxes and strengthening healthcare, education and infrastructure.
He said improved governance would boost production, create jobs and increase citizens’ purchasing power, leading to better living standards across the country.
Calling for change, Mafabi urged voters to elect leaders who understand their daily struggles and are committed to public service. He encouraged residents of Bukomansimbi and Sembabule to support him and other FDC candidates in the forthcoming elections, saying the polls present an opportunity to reclaim accountable leadership.
The campaign engagements in the two districts are part of Mafabi’s wider effort to rally support across the country ahead of the 2026 General Election.
