Nambi Promises Practical Solutions as She Joins Kawempe North Race

Nambi Faridah has officially entered the race for Kawempe North Member of Parliament, returning her nomination forms with a bold promise to be a practical and hands-on leader focused on solving everyday challenges in the constituency.

Speaking after submitting her forms, Farida pointed to a long list of unaddressed urban problems affecting the area ranging from water shortages and sanitation issues to poor road conditions, high youth unemployment, and limited support for women.

“Kawempe North needs action, not just promises,” she said. “Toilets are always full because there’s no sewer line. Water is scarce. Roads are in poor shape. The women and youth in over 30 ghettos here need empowerment and opportunity.”

Farida said her campaign is grounded in realism, not rhetoric, and that her goal is to lobby effectively for government interventions that directly improve people’s lives.

“You need someone who understands the system and can use it to bring results. That’s what I’m offering a servant who can work across political lines to get things done,” she added.

In a constituency known for political tension and diverse affiliations, Farida called for unity, urging voters to look beyond party lines and focus on capability.

“Don’t choose someone who can’t sit at the table of decision-makers. I’m ready to represent you whether you’re NRM or not,” she said.

Farida’s entry into the race adds momentum to a campaign she describes as people-first and results-oriented, with a strong emphasis on lobbying, infrastructure, and social transformation. Her message appears tailored for an electorate weary of political drama and in search of tangible progress.
