By Police in Nagalama have arrested a class teacher for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old pupil.
The suspect, identified as Ssebagala Drake, 24, a teacher at Praise El Nursery and Primary School, and resident of Kakoola Village, Kyabakade Parish, Kyampisi Subcounty, Mukono District, is currently in police custody.
Preliminary investigations indicate that on 13 November 2025, around 4:00 PM, Ssebagala allegedly lured a Primary Five pupil from his school into his home while she was returning from school with three friends. According to police, the suspect allegedly threatened to kill the girl before defiling her.
The girl reportedly returned home, raising suspicion from her father. Authorities were informed of the incident on 18 November 2025, leading to the opening of a defilement case. Subsequent medical examinations confirmed that the victim had been defiled.
Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.
