In a letter posted on social media, Uncle Mark revealed that a few months ago, his brother received an emergency call from his pregnant wife, who had slipped in the bathroom and needed urgent help. As he rushed home on his motorcycle, he encountered a security lockdown due to the movement of President Museveni’s convoy.
Mark says his brother respected the security procedure by parking his motorcycle to proceed on foot, but when he moved the bike near a police post, SFC officers grabbed him, beat him, and forced him into a car boot.
“He was taken away for two days and returned home with his toenails missing,” Mark wrote.
By the time he was released, the family had already lost the baby. “Today, he’s slowly recovering. Sadly, we lost the baby. His wife is healing,” he added.
