Zubimendi showcased his talents on the international stage, particularly in the Euro 2024 final, where he replaced Rodri at halftime and helped Spain secure a 2-1 victory over England. The midfielder, who has been with Real Sociedad since 2011, played a key role in the club’s sixth-place finish last season, scoring four goals in 31 appearances.
Arne Slot will begin his tenure as Liverpool manager with a lunchtime fixture against newly promoted Ipswich Town on the opening Saturday of the 2024/25 Premier League season. His early fixtures include a high-stakes clash against compatriot Erik ten Hag when Liverpool face Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 31.
Liverpool’s October schedule features challenging back-to-back matches, with a home game against Chelsea followed by an away trip to Arsenal.
