The Minister for Local Government, Raphael Magyezi, has called on Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs), Town Clerks, and Municipal Clerks to ensure that government workers refrain from participating in strikes, saying ongoing concerns are already being addressed through negotiations with the Ministry of Public Service.
Speaking at the first quarterly meeting of CAOs and clerks, held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, Magyezi applauded district leaders for their contributions to government programmes but challenged them to do more in curbing absenteeism and improving service delivery.
