In a candid revelation, Lutaya has asserted his independence, clarifying that he works diligently to sustain himself, stating, “I hustle like a man to survive.” He also addressed misconceptions about his relationship with socialite Zari, highlighting that she is not one to easily part with money. According to Lutaya, the only instance Zari gave him cash was during a trip to Tanzania, where she earned approximately $40,000 (around UGX 150 million) and handed him just $2,000 (about UGX 7.4 million).
Although Lutaya did not specify the purpose of their visit to Tanzania, it is known that their most recent trip was in February when Zari was invited to a club event.
Lutaya was keen to emphasize that his relationship with Zari is based purely on love, dismissing any notion that it is motivated by her financial status or children. He pointed out that Zari is at a mature stage in life, and his feelings for her are genuine. However, he admitted that the relationship has brought him more fame than anything else, noting that Zari’s behavior often disregards his mental well-being and affects his perspective on their relationship.
He criticized Zari for her reluctance to allow him the same freedoms she enjoys, leaving him in difficult situations where he feels powerless.
Lutaya also urged Zari to take inspiration from singer Rema Namakula, who, despite sharing a child with popular artist Eddy Kenzo, has never publicly disrespected her current partner, Dr. Hamza Sebunya. Since beginning her relationship with Dr. Sebunya, Namakula has avoided any public interactions with Kenzo and handles any related questions in interviews with tact and grace.
