On January 23, 2025, the Uganda Police Force announced a halt to the concert, citing safety concerns related to the structural integrity of the pavilion at the venue. The police emphasized that the decision was made to ensure the safety of attendees.
However, in a turn of events, a joint meeting held today between the security team, event organizers, and venue managers led to a reassessment of the situation. The parties agreed that the concert could proceed as scheduled, provided specific safety measures were implemented.
