In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Bobi Wine described the dramatic incident, claiming that Noah Mutwe was abducted from his home in Gombe by unknown operatives traveling in a numberless double-cabin vehicle. According to the account, the unidentified group first apprehended Noah Mutwe’s uncle, placed him in handcuffs, and used him to locate Mutwe’s residence.

“They came like thugs… They violently abducted him and took him away. His whereabouts are not known,” Kyagulanyi wrote.

The National Unity Platform (NUP) president condemned what he called “crimes against our people,” saying the purpose of these abductions is to instill fear within the opposition and the general public. However, he maintained that the crackdown is only strengthening the resolve to fight for political change in Uganda.

This incident follows the controversial detention of Eddie Mutwe, another prominent NUP bodyguard, whose continued custody has already sparked widespread concern and a public dispute between the Uganda Human Rights Commission and top military officials.
