Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly informed his squad of his intention to remain at the helm next season. During a meeting at the Carrington training ground, Amorim also advised 20-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho to consider finding a new club, signaling a significant shift in the team’s plans.

Garnacho, who joined United’s academy from Atlético Madrid in 2020, has had a challenging season, scoring 11 goals across 58 appearances. Despite regular involvement under Amorim, the young Argentine appears to be out of favor following United’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham and their worst-ever Premier League finish. Reports indicate that Garnacho expressed dissatisfaction about limited playing time in a social media post, and his brother added that he was unfairly treated by being left out of the starting lineup.
Amorim’s decision to stay comes amid scrutiny of his management and the club’s direction. United’s hierarchy continues to back Amorim, indicating a commitment to support him in the upcoming transfer window.
As Manchester United faces a critical crossroads following their Europa League final defeat, the club must decide between sticking with Amorim and enduring a long, expensive rebuild or switching to a more adaptable manager who could make better use of existing resources.
