By The State House Anti-Corruption Unit, working with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), has re-arraigned Ronald Ainebyoona before the Kiboga Chief Magistrates Court on charges of forcible entry, malicious damage, and assault.
Ainebyoona, who was first arraigned on March 27, 2025, had been granted bail but absconded shortly thereafter, forcing the court to issue a warrant of arrest on June 30, 2025. For six months he remained in hiding until security operatives tracked him down and re-arrested him this week.

According to the charge sheet, Ainebyoona and others still at large allegedly violently entered land in Block 542, Plot 2 in Kiboga district on March 14, 2025, evicted several occupants, and destroyed property. The complainant, 70-year-old Badru Mwanje, accused the group of damaging crops, houses, a fence, and animal sheds, as well as assaulting people found on the land.
The case stems from a directive by President Yoweri Museveni instructing the Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, to probe the criminal aspects of the dispute and ensure accountability.
After his re-arraignment, the court remanded Ainebyoona until October 13, 2025.
