Police in Kiboga are investigating a suspected murder after a decomposing human body was discovered in a bush in Akyanga cell, Kiboga Town Council.
The case was reported on December 10, 2025, at around 5:30 PM by Mr. Ndawula Constantine, the area LC1 chairman. According to police, the body was found by a young boy, Kawuki Robert, son of Ms. Nuwadinda Juliet, while he was dumping a dead family dog in the bush. Suspicious of an unusual smell, he discovered the body and alerted his mother, who confirmed the find.

The matter was then reported to Mr. Ndawula Constantine, who forwarded it to kiboga Police Station. Police officers, led by a senior crime officer, visited the scene and confirmed the body’s presence. Investigators noted that the area showed no signs of a struggle, suggesting the person was killed elsewhere and later dumped at the site.
At the scene, officers recovered a bloodstained shirt and a mobile phone with over 70 missed calls. Contacting one of the numbers led them to a woman, Nakamate Teddy, who identified the deceased as her husband, Lubwama Henry Kisitu. She said the family resides in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District, and that Kisitu had been doing casual work in Kiboga.
The body has been taken to Kiboga Hospital Mortuary for further medical examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have appealed to the public, particularly residents of Kyengera and Kiboga Town Councils, to provide any information about Kisitu. Authorities assured that those providing information confidentially would be protected.
“Information at the moment is very scanty. We need more details to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice,” said Lemark Kigozi, Police PRO for Wamala Region. “We also want to share our sympathy with the bereaved family and assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in our investigations.”
