By Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), on Tuesday held a joint meeting with the Danish and Dutch Ambassadors in what he described as a rare and significant diplomatic engagement.
The meeting, hosted at the Special Forces Command (SFC) Headquarters, brought together H.E. Signe Winding Albjerg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, and H.E. Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Gen Kainerugaba said the encounter underscored the strength of Uganda’s cooperation with its European partners and reflected a shared commitment to collaboration. He noted that Denmark and the Netherlands hold “aligned foreign policy approaches” that promote respectful, locally-led partnerships.
Calling the joint engagement “a powerful symbol of solidarity,” the CDF said the meeting reaffirmed the belief that lasting progress is best achieved through shared responsibility and mutual understanding.
The two envoys expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet the CDF and commended the strong bilateral relations between their countries and Uganda. They pledged continued support toward deepening cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
The meeting closed with a renewed commitment to strengthening Uganda–Denmark and Uganda–Netherlands partnerships, with all sides recognizing the value of sustained dialogue and joint engagement.
