The Uganda Police Force is mourning the sudden death of Superintendent of Police (SP) Ronald Mutabazi, who until his passing served as the Officer in Charge of Security at the Judiciary.
According to an internal communication from the Commandant of the VIP Protection Unit (VIPPU), SP Mutabazi passed away at his home around 4:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Police authorities said arrangements were underway to convey the body to hospital for further management, as the Force coordinates with the deceased’s family on funeral plans.
SP Mutabazi is remembered as a dedicated and disciplined officer who played a key role in ensuring the safety of judicial officers and the protection of court premises across the country.
