Uganda Cranes co-coach Morley Byekwaso has officially unveiled the final 25-man squad for the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, with attacking midfielder Allan Okello named team captain.
The squad announcement, made today, sets the stage for Uganda’s seventh appearance at CHAN, which kicks off on August 2, 2025 and will be hosted jointly by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Okello, who plies his trade with Vipers SC, will lead a squad that includes a mix of experienced and emerging talent. He will be assisted by goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa (BUL FC) and defender Rogers Ochaki Torach (Vipers SC) as vice-captains.
