Prosecution alleges that Tumusiime fraudulently obtained UGX 5 million from a victim who was seeking a nursing job in Kyankwanzi Local Government, promising to influence the recruitment process in his favor.
Further investigations revealed that Tumusiime, together with other suspects still at large, has been involved in a broader extortion scheme targeting multiple job applicants within the district.
The accused was remanded until July 22, 2025, as inquiries continue. Authorities have warned the public against paying bribes for government jobs and urged victims of similar scams to report to the police.
