“You are most welcome. Your three-day working visit is a huge deal to both of us,” Todwong said, praising the visit as a continuation of a longstanding partnership rooted in shared values and mutual respect.

Earlier, the delegation was received at Entebbe International Airport by senior NRM officials, including Hon. James Tweheyo and Maj. (Rtd) Awich Pollar, Director for External Affairs at the NRM Secretariat.

Todwong described Uganda as “a peaceful and beautiful nation straddling the equator and blessed with one of the world’s most favourable climates,” and assured the visitors of the country’s political and economic stability under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni.

“The visit allows us to celebrate our cooperation and explore new avenues for strengthening this partnership,” he noted, referencing the long history of political and developmental collaboration between the two ruling parties.

On her part, Ms. Rao Huihoa expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the CPC’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Uganda. She noted that both parties continue to benefit from shared knowledge and political solidarity.

“We are optimistic about this visit and confident that it will enhance our friendship and cooperation,” Ms. Rao said.

The CPC delegation is expected to hold several engagements with Ugandan officials and institutions during their stay, focusing on governance, party-building, and development cooperation.

Their visit comes at a time when China and Uganda continue to enjoy strong diplomatic and economic relations, with China playing a key role in Uganda’s infrastructure development, trade, and investment..
