In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, President Museveni shared his experience at his polling station in Rwakitura, where the initial register listed 351 members. Upon auditing, it was discovered that 61 individuals had either passed away or relocated, leaving 290 active members. He noted that some eligible individuals, including his grandchildren, were not on the list and emphasized the need to update the register to include new members.
“If we were to have 290 people in 72,000 villages, we would potentially have 20.8 million members,” Museveni stated, underscoring the potential strength of the party’s grassroots support.
