In a public notice posted on its official X account, NSSF clarified that the scheme is entirely fraudulent and unrelated to the Fund. The scammers have gone as far as using the image and mimicking the speech of NSSF Managing Director Patrick M. Ayota to lend credibility to their claims.
“The Fund informs our esteemed members and the public that these social media accounts are fraudulent and should be ignored,” the statement read. NSSF has reported the matter to the relevant authorities for further investigation and action.
NSSF also urged anyone who may have been contacted by the fraudster to report the incident to the nearest police station immediately. Reiterating its commitment to protecting members, NSSF emphasizes its dedication to transparent and lawful service delivery.
